Owner Consolidated Tin Mines confirmed the concentrator at Mount Garnet has also kicked back into operation May 13. It will operate eight days on, then six days off, for campaign processing.

The underground mining element of Mount Garnet will remain on care and maintenance "until further notice".

Some, but not all, of the mines' crews will return to work in the near-term, as the company said it will follow a progressive plan for reopening.

Both Mount Garnet and Dry River South are part of the Surveyor project. The base metal deposits in the area include copper, gold, lead, silver and zinc.
