The company is still seeking consent to restart mining activities at the Yauricocha mine, given its remote location and implementation of strict health protocols exceeding government guidelines.
It had previously hoped to restart the polymetallic mine on May 11.
Large open-pit mines and some underground mines in the Peru have already received permission to restart operations in phase one. Phase two would see the second group of mining companies rrestarting activities.
In Mexico, Sierra is recalling staff at the Bolivar mine for a COVID-19 screening process and quarantine period in preparation for a June 1 restart - the date from which the government allows mining and other industries deemed essential to resume.
The Cusi mine in country remains on care and maintenance.
