PRESS RELEASE: With almost five decades of experience serving various industries, CJD Equipment has been appointed Terex Trucks’ national dealer for its rigid frame trucks in Australia. Founded in 1974, CJD provides equipment sales, service, and consultation to customers active in agriculture, construction, and mining.
The addition of Terex Trucks’ units will enable CJD to expand its portfolio and offer customers all four rigid haulers – TR45, TR60, TR70, and TR100 – manufactured by the Motherwell-based company. CJD will also deliver an extensive aftermarket care service to minimise costs, maximise uptime and productivity, helping to ensure customer satisfaction.
Clement Cheong, director of sales and marketing APAC at Terex Trucks, commented: “CJD Equipment is one of the largest suppliers of industrial equipment for the construction, agriculture, infrastructure, mining, and transportation segments in Australia. As a professional and dynamic organisation, CJD has a vast distribution network and excellent reputation for customer support.

“Terex Trucks’ rigid machines complement CJD’s range of equipment to serve clients in Australia. We are delighted with this appointment and we are confident that with this partnership we have the reach to better serve the customers in the country,” Cheong concluded.
Headquartered in Perth, Australia, CJD has a network of 17 branches nationwide, including state capital cities, regional towns, and mining districts. Perfectly suited to meet the heavy-duty machinery and trucking needs of rural Australia, the distributor offers 24-hour client support, seven days a week and 365 days a year. The company currently employs more than 500 members of staff and also operates a spare parts division that offers a complete solution for all spare parts needs.
Alan Barnett, managing director of CJD Equipment, says: “We are extremely pleased and excited to have been appointed the Australian dealer for Terex Trucks’ rigid range of machines. We have the national footprint and experience for this to be a successful acquisition to our product portfolio and it further solidifies our 25-year relationship with the Volvo Group. We look forward to the opportunity that Terex Trucks will bring – not only the short term but for many years to come.”
