The group is resulting from the integration of Bridgestone Earthmover Tyres, also known as BSEM, with Bridgestone Engineered Products of Asia Sdn Bhd (BSEA AU), specifically the Australian branch.

According to the company’s confirmation of the integration this week, the new division will be the only company of its kind to offer comprehensive pit-to-port solutions for the mining industry as well as the industrial and construction sectors.

BSEM chief executive officer Steve Niho noted that the creation of Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia will strengthen its top market position both for products and service solutions.

“The new business structure will enable greater focus on specific functions of the business to enhance value creation for our customers, making us their indispensable partner.”

Bridgestone’s prior product line with BSEA AU includes conveyor belts, hydraulic hoses, marine fenders, rubber tracks and other bespoke rubber products, as well as services such as conveyor belt splicing and quality assurance.

“These products and services complement the existing range of products and services offered by BSEM including off-the-road (OTR) tyre supply, OTR tyre repairs, wheel and rim supply, refurbishment and repair, OTR fitting and On-Site-Service (OSS),” he said.
