The Liebherr T 274 is powered by a 3,650 hp engine and features the Liebherr Litronic Plus AC Drive system, which the company said improves cycle time efficiency by providing continuous uphill speed.
The OEM adds that the T 274, which is also available in a 336-ton version, features the same frame and components as the T 284, which has more than 20 million operating hours in the field.
The Liebherr Trolley Assist System option will be "a first step on the road to zero emission mine sites of the future".
"Utilising an overhead pantograph to connect the electric-drive system to the electrical network, the Trolley Assist System can either increase truck fleet productivity, or reduce the fleet size while maintaining yearly production, when compared with standard trucks."
The truck can be paired with the the Liebherr R 9800 hydraulic excavator, which will load it with just four bucket passes.
The company has focused on ruggedising the truck for extreme conditions, with the components protected and the machinery operable in temperatures as low as 40°C, and altitudes as high as 16,500 ft above sea level.
