According to the monitoring tech companies, the integrated system is a world-first, as it offers these capabilities in a single package, thus simplifying contracting and deployment.
The solution uses Worldsensing's Loadsensing Internet of Things (IoT)-based wireless monitoring system, which could help reduce the cost and delay associated with traditional wired or manually read sensor networks. The Loadsensing system currently connects and wirelessly monitors tailings dams and excavations in over 80 mines across 20 countries.
The joint solution also enables data management through the HxGN GeoMonitoring Hub integrated visualisation and analysis platform, delivered through IDS GeoRadar, which provides ground-penetrating radar (GPR) and interferometric radar solutions worldwide.
"As leaders in the IoT remote monitoring space, Worldsensing invests in making Loadsensing technology compatible not only with various sensors but also with third-party software, such as HxGN GeoMonitoring Hub by IDS GeoRadar," said Bernat Trias, Worldsensing's director of products.
The new system includes a single interface, a wide range of wirelessly connected geotechnical and environmental sensors, as well as radar, total stations, GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) and satellite inSAR (interferometric synthetic aperture radar).
