While Ottawa-based BluMetric did not reveal the mine site identity or that of the global parent company, it did confirm it will provide a multi-stage physical/chemical treatment system for the sequential removal of antagonistic contaminants in a fully containerised, customised solution treating the mine’s water.
“BluMetric developed and has successfully employed this process at several other mine sites where a high-quality effluent was required,” officials said. “This system was custom designed for this client to overcome the influent and effluent conditions at this remote and climatically challenging site.”
The system, which is well adapted to the northern climate conditions where it will be used, is configured to be plug-and-play at the mine’s facility, where it mines, crushes, washes, screens and dries its ore. BluMetric has committed to providing comprehensive commissioning support and training for the system’s first season, also.
