The MCO, put into place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, has been in place since March 18, and is currently in its fourth phase. Monument officials said that, with the mining ban relief approval received, it is preparing its staff to return under certain conditions.
Chief executive and president Cathy Zhai said: "Employees' health and safety is our first priority. The operation will be started in stages in compliance with the standard operating procedures in full force."
Selinsing mine, which has a plant capacity of 1 million tonnes annually, has been in commercial operation since September 2010.
The company's other exploration and development projects include the Mengapur copper and iron project in Pahang State, Malaysia, and the Murchison gold projects (comprising Burnakura, Gabanintha and Tuckanarra) in Western Australia's Murchison region.
