PROK gets Iron Bridge pulley deal

Conveyor supplier will bring about 170 complete pulley units to Australian mine.

While the financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, Prok confirmed that it will built an estimated 170 complete pulleys at the site near Port Hedland which will be installed in 25 conveyors.

Each pulley ranges in size from 500 to 1,200 millimetres in diameter; they will be delivered beginning in January 2021 in six phases. Prok said they are being produced at its Bayswater facility in Perth, Western Australia.

The conveyors will be produced in PROK's Bayswater production facility in Perth, Western Australia.

The work is part of the second stage of work at Iron Bridge. FMG and its joint venture partner, Formosa Steel IB, approved the development of this stage in April 2019 at a price tag of US$2.6 billion.

First ore on ship from Iron Bridge is scheduled for mid-2022.
