Company sales and marketing global manager Naveed Shaikh said the company has long wanted to enter the global business, but the Indian market had kept it occupied, claiming a more than 50% market share in the country.

"In the southern and sub-Saharan African market, Paramount Equipment represents us as our sales and service partner," Shaikh noted.

"Through this partnership, we have established offices and service facilities in South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, DRC, and Ghana."

REL has also recently inked a partnership with Basil Read Mining's blasting and excavating subsidiary under which it will supply the latter with remotely operated autonomous drills.

"REL will be closely working with them to deliver autonomous drilling solutions to their mining clients, we strongly believe that such partnerships with clients is the future and we hope to have similar associations with other mining companies as well," Shaikh said.

REL also has some representation in Mexico, South America, Russia/CIS and Indonesia.

It makes blasthole drills (rotary and DTH, diesel/electric driven) for mining applications, jackless drills for mining and construction, water well drills, hydro-fracturing units and exploratory drills.
