Under the terms of the latest acquisition completed on October 30, CR gets control of GET Trakka and all associated intellectual property, with GET Trakka owner and founder Ian Hamilton to work with CR to further develop the sensor technology.
CR claims the takeover gives it proven tools loss and productivity monitoring capacity for its mining technology digital portfolio, with GET Trakka also providing data analysis and reporting systems that can enhance maintenance and productivity.
The acquisition is the third takeover in 14 months for the company formerly known as CQMS Razer, after Berkeley Forge and Tool and Thunderbird Mining Systems were added to the stable in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
CR acquired California-based machinery company BFT in September 2019 to tap into the North and South American markets.
Seattle-based Thunderbird was picked up four months later at the start of 2020 as part of CR's digital arm, primarily for its blasthole drill optimisation and rock knowledge systems.
