The product is the culmination of a joint venture between IntelliSense and Central Asian innovation group Tech Garden, with the goal of aiding the Kazakh mining community in a digital transformation to industry 4.0 technologies.
According to the Kazakhstan Ministry of Investment and Development, the pairing between IntelliSense and Tech Garden is one of 18 such projects in the region. Additionally, IntelliSense Lab will meet its first major goal with the launch of the Smart Monitoring and Optimisation Center, or SMOC, for the mining industry.
“By utilising Brains.app, the IntelliSense.io real-time decision-making platform, IntelliSense Lab will work proactively with Kazakh mining companies to ensure their mine-to-market processes run efficiently against mining variability, and will introduce new approaches to optimise operations,” the company said, with CEO Sam Bose noting that it is the first of its kind in Kazakhstan, as well as Central Asia.
“The lab will leverage IntelliSense.io’s success in the Chilean mining industry to deliver cross-industry process and equipment performance benchmarks.”
The newly launched technology also offers end-to-end solutions on a single platform for devices, networking and software application.
“The IntelliSense Lab is an exciting development…[and] will play a critical role in the digitisation efforts of the mining industry in the country and across the region,” Bose said.
“IntelliSense.io’s portfolio of Optimisation as a Service (OaaS) applications that are delivered through our Brains.app real-time decision-making platform have been successfully deployed across mining operations in South America, and we are excited to partner with Tech Garden and share our best practices and experience in the sector.”
