PRESS RELEASE: Hexagon's Mining division is broadening its customer reach with a channel partner programme, which was launched on August 15.

Four authorised partners are already signed up for the programme, which Hexagon hopes will open up new markets and connect products with mines that need them.

Giancarlo Comini, vice-president, sales at Hexagon Mining, said: "We have the solutions to help mines relieve the immense pressure to cut costs and improve safety. We greatly value our channel partners because they are a vital part of our sales team, which is committed to being everywhere our customers need us to be. The programme adds an invaluable layer of sales representation to our existing global network of offices."

On board with the newly launched programme are resellers, Trysome and Prominas. Both companies have long-standing relationships with Hexagon. Johannesburg, South Africa-based Trysome sells the company's mining safety solutions in sub-Saharan Africa. Mine planning software is the focus for Prominas of Brazil.

Also part of the programme are agents, Northern Survey Supply (NSS) and Indutronica. Based in Ontario, Canada, NSS represents Hexagon's operations and safety solutions in the Nickel Belt region around Sudbury. Colombia-based Indutronica will support Hexagon's efforts with key customers in the region.

Hexagon is working to attract more partners and has published a guide explaining levels of commitment and the benefits of joining.

Marc Barmettler, senior business development manager at Hexagon Mining who is leading the programme, said: "The authorised partner programme is an opportunity to embrace a vibrant customer network by promoting, marketing or selling our life-of-mine product portfolio. Either as a referral partner, agent, or reseller, there are several options to promote, market or sell. Support is provided based on the partnership level."
