PRESS RELEASE: The investment is an upgrade to its current simulator portfolio and aligns with its integrated simulation training standard operating procedures.

Nicky Suwandy, regional vice president - Asia at Immersive Technologies, said: "Well over a decade ago PAMA bought their first advanced equipment simulator from Immersive Technologies. Since then they measured significant return on investment (ROI) as they progressively built a fleet of 10 simulators. We are especially proud of their most recent investment in seven new Komatsu haul truck simulator modules, as there are ongoing challenges in the thermal coal market, and every expenditure is being scrutinised. Their continued loyalty is a true testament to the value our simulators are providing."

Roberto Handoko, operation general manager at PAMA, commented: "PAMA sees Immersive Technologies training simulation capability as an essential part of our operation. It plays a key role in maintaining the safe and productive operation of our mining fleet, via the optimisation of our equipment operators."

PAMA is a previous award winner of Immersive Technologies' Global Business Improvement Award. The Jembayan-Separi site in Indonesia saw reduced traffic incidents with an estimated US$330,000 savings in property damage in one year. Jembayan-Separi has used Immersive Technologies simulators as part of its workforce development programme for more than 12 years, achieving a 42% reduction in equipment damage and 16% productivity improvement along with successful fuel reduction initiatives.

Suwandy concluded: "We are proud to support the impressive gains achieved by PAMA - they have been early adopters of our latest technologies and are seeing the results in being so forward thinking."
