GHH has chosen Foramec, a mining and construction equipment and service supplier, as its exclusive partner in the country. The Ankara-based company will sell GHH underground loaders and dump trucks to Turkish customers.

GHH managing director Dr Jan Olaf Petzold, who is behind the strategic expansion, believes the agreement between the two companies will strengthen GHH's position in a key market.

Foramec sees this as an opportunity to boost mechanisation and improve safety at large infrastructure and mining projects in Turkey.

"With GHH, we want to offer Turkish customers particularly powerful, robust and safe machines," said Foramec managing director Togan Yürür.

Foramec is currently integrating the new product range into its portfolio, while training, sales and market penetration have already begun. Several GHH machines are already available, including the LF-5 and LF-6 diesel LHDs, as well as the MK-A20 and MK-35 dump trucks.

Through the partnership, Foramec will also offer drilling and bolting rigs from Polish manufacturer Mine Master, which is part of the same business as GHH - the Schmidt Kranz Group.
