Available in the US and Canada, the NexTraq Dashcam can provide downloadable video coverage of the moments before, during and after a vehicle event, as well as real-time alerts and live GPS location.
With its 4G LTE capability, according to NexTraq, it has up to 10 times the speed of 3G networks for mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and notebooks.
Todd Hanna, vice president of sales for NexTraq, said it was "like sitting in the passenger seat of every vehicle in your fleet".
"When an incident happens on the road, every company wants to know what happened, what the driver saw and how he reacted," he added.
"The NexTraq Dashcam is designed to take the guesswork out of conflicting reports of actual events while it instils peace of mind for drivers ... The NexTraq Dashcam takes driver accountability and fleet safety to the next level."
Headquartered in Atlanta, US, NexTraq is a part of Michelin's global services and solutions business line. It offers vehicle- and asset-tracking solutions and can serve as a GPS fleet and mobile workforce management partner.
