The takeover includes the company's facilities and equipment, and all Mill-Ore employees will transfer to FLSmidth.
In addition, the involved facilities will operate under the new name of FLSmidth Service Center, Eastern Canada.
The buyer said the investment is an element of its long-term commitment to greater service for customers in eastern Canada.
"Miners in Eastern Canada can now expect faster, personal and local service, with support provided in French and English," officials said.
"This move is part of our commitment to increase the level of service for French-speaking customers and to streamline our overall service process."
FLSmidth confirmed it had been looking over local service units in the region for a period; it called Mill-Ore an "ideal" target as it was a crucial Canadian service centre for Krebs pumps and cyclones.
"In the coming months, additional services will be rolled out to increase the service capabilities available through the centre," the company added. It also noted that all order processes for the company will remain the same.
