The total was up from 1,809oz achieved in October from the operation on the Battle Mountain-Eureka trend in White Pine County.

Vancouver-based Fiore confirmed that its Phase II leach pad is also now in operation, following first ore on the pad late last month. Officials noted that operating space on the Phase I pad has become constrained as it enters into final design height, reducing leach cycle times.

Stemming from that, Fiore’s gold production from Pan is projected to come in under its forecast, though it expects production will now improve with ore being placed on the new pad.

Pan’s gold production target for fiscal 2018 (October 2017-September 2018) is 35,000-40,000oz, with production weighted towards the second half when it will be mining higher grade ore.

“We’re looking forward to continued strong performance over the remainder of the fiscal year,” CEO Tim Warman said.

“With the new Phase II leach pad now operational, we can begin loading the test cells that will confirm the viability of adding a crushing and agglomeration circuit to the mine later in 2018. The successful completion and permitting of the new leach pad is a testament to the highly skilled operating and development team we’ve built.”

Fiore’s ultimate plan is to grow Pan’s gold production to between 40,000-50,000oz per year by fiscal 2019.
