The pairing will investigate commercial use of the MetaLeach technology in Turkey, Iran and the rest of the Middle East. Its particular interest will be zinc oxide projects, particularly in the Hakkari and Kayseri regions of Turkey and in Iran, but it will also follow interest in copper projects.
Once funding is received, Proses will design and construct a semi-industrial scale processing plant (SISP) with Alexander’s technology and will examine a potential SISP at the world-class Mehdiabad zinc project in Iran.
Alexander officials said the potential exists for it to come to a technology license agreement. The two will also pursue commercial opportunities to use MetaLeach technology in the Middle East.
“We are delighted with this partnership agreement with Proses…a highly regarded mineral processing consultancy with a strong presence in a part of the world that is highly prospective for our technology,” said CEO Martin Rosser.
