The €10 million (US$11.2 million) order, booked into Outotec's December quarter intake, comprises a tertiary ball mill, an Outotec HIGmill high-intensity grinding mill, flotation cells, a complete process control system, a pressure filter and a high rate thickener.
The Georgian copper and gold producer is working on modernising the concentrator located in the Kazreti settlement of the country's Bolnisi region.
Outotec has been involved in the project from the early stages, in order to offer support in process design and to improve the efficiency and value of the plant's production.
The Outotec Research Centre in Pori, Finland, undertook extensive test work for the project, along with chemical and mineralogical characterisation of different ore samples.
Kimmo Kontola, head of Outotec's Minerals Processing business, said the company's process technology and proprietary equipment would be able to process the complex orebodies sustainably.
Outotec will deliver the equipment in the second half of 2020. The two companies are currently completing basic engineering on site.
