The Pavlik gold plant, which commenced its operations in 2015, currently produces approximately 7t/y of gold. With the new equipment, the plant expects to double its ore processing capacity and increase gold production.
Metso's delivery consists of the primary crushing station with a Nordberg C160 jaw crusher, one semi-autogenous grinding (SAG) mill and two ball mills with a total installed power of more than 20MW.
The order has a value of approximately €25 million (US$27.3 million) and has been booked in Metso's March 2020 quarter orders received. The delivery is expected to take place in the first half of 2021.
"We greatly value our long-term cooperation with Pavlik Gold, where Metso's equipment has been in use already for several years," said Alexey Muzychkin, SVP, Russia and CIS at Metso. "We are sure that the experience and technical competence of both companies in this type of projects will help us rapidly achieve the goals."
