The contract, which is expected to net SciDev revenue of between $700,000 and $1 million is with Societe Le Nickel.
Supply of MaxiFlox is to begin in this financial year, with the chemicals being sent to SLN's Nepoui and Tiebaghi nickel operations in New Caledonia.
At those operations SciDev's MaxiFlox chemistry and OptiFlox technology will be used to improve operational efficiency and water use.
SciDev managing director and CEO Lewis Utting said the SLN agreement further extended the presence of SciDev chemistry and services across major mining projects in Oceania.
"SciDev's technology can add real benefit to our customers processing abilities as well as reducing their environmental footprint," he said.
SciDev's MaxiFlox flocculants and coagulants are made to its specification by Nuoer Group.
OptiFlox is a technology that analyses and measures key parameters in industrial process streams.
It is designed to improve the clarification of water and improve the addition of chemistry allowing for the optimal use of several industrial processes, including mineral processing.
