FLSmidth said the order includes two 1400x2100 TSU gyratory crushers and three apron feeders of varying sizes. Each crusher's capacity is 2,500 metric tonnes per hour, while the feeders operate at 2,500t/h.
The mine, it added, selected the FLSmidth equipment because of its needs for high performance, cost-effective operation and low servicing and maintenance requirements.
FLSmidth regional president for South America Claudio Garcia Bernal said its order was the first one the customer has made for two decades.
"Ultimately, this order comes as a result of our close work with the customer and our effort to understand their specific conditions," Bernal said, noting that the mine is located 2,400m above sea level - and the TSU gyratory crusher is specifically designed for extreme applications.
"This meant we could provide the right productivity- and sustainability-enhancing solutions and service."
