The two companies have joined forces to offer a technical solution for gold miners. The Gekko-Cadia modular elution systems are described as fast, efficient, and cost-effective, delivering higher yields and lower operating costs.
Elution is a process used to extract gold from activated carbon through desorption, and the modular design allows for quick installation and implementation.
"The systems are pre-engineered and pre-assembled in Gekko's manufacturing facility, allowing for fast delivery and installation at the mine site,' the statement read. "This not only saves time but also reduces the need for on-site engineering and construction, lowering the overall cost of ownership."
The company also noted that the compact design is space-efficient, "making them ideal for use in remote or confined mine sites where space is limited."
Gekko will also offer maintenance and customer support services for the units to ensure the systems operate at peak performance and efficiency.
The two companies began working together in 2019 to build modular solutions for the mining sector.
"The collaboration sees Cadia provide their OEM equipment and system designs to Gekko's state-of-the-art Ballarat manufacturing facility for construction and integration into the final turn-key systems," the Cadia website reads.
