Under the agreement, Deswik interoperability has been made available through the recently released Leapfrog Geo 2.2. Users can create a sub blocked model in Leapfrog Geo, then import into Deswik for mine planning, optimisation and basic estimation.
Deswik becomes the latest name on a list of Leapfrog programme partners that includes Snowden Supervisor, Mapinfo Discover and Esri ArcGIS.
Leapfrog and Deswik will give a joint demonstration of their partnership at the upcoming Exponor exhibition in Antofagasta, Chile on May 11-15. Visitors to the expo will be able to see first-hand how customers can integrate Leapfrog Geo’s geological modelling into Deswik Suite’s mine-design and scheduling software.
Mike Walker, ARANZ Geo’s partner manager, said the partnership was about much more than pure functionality.
“We share a similar culture and both place importance on doing things differently and better. Although non-competitive, we are in a similar market space and we both understand and appreciate the ongoing value of our long term relationship,” he said.
