PRESS RELEASE: At the World Mining Congress in Astana, Kazakhstan, the Autonomous Cluster Fund (Tech Garden) presented the centre for technological development, IntelliSense- LAB.
The centre was founded by ACF in partnership with IntelliSense.io (UK) for the development and implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies aimed at the mining and metallurgical sector in Kazakhstan.
During the congress, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between IntelliSense Lab and JSC "AK Altynalmas". The aim of the partnership is the introduction of Industry 4.0 technologies in accordance with the National Digitisation Plan to support the Kazakhstan National Digital Roadmap.
The document was signed by Zhanar Amanzholova, head of the development and innovation department of JSC AK Altynalmas, and Medet Sartbayev, general director of IntelliSense-LAB.
One goal of the collaboration is the development of an artificial intelligence (AI) system for predictive analysis and optimisation of the grinding process, including predictions of the technological process of grinding in real time, prediction of lining deterioration inside the mills, quality control of crushed ore and situational prediction of crushed products, visualisation of the grinding cycle in real time, and performance goals (KPIs) of throughput increase.
"We are excited that Altynalmas are our first partner in the Kazakhstan National Digital Roadmap. The National Digitisation Plan will put Kazakhstan at the forefront of Industry 4.0 technology development. Partnering with such a prestigious company as Altynalmas demonstrates how beneficial this technology is for mining and other industrial sectors," said Sam G. Bose, CEO and founder of IntelliSense.io.
The national platform will be used by Kazakh IT companies and start-ups to develop digitalisation applications. The lab will cooperate with leading universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan in areas such as big data applications in process optimisation and AI applications. Cooperation will also be aimed at training qualified Kazakh personnel in the above areas.
The centre will employ data science specialists, application engineers and IT specialists (administrators, software developers, software and hardware development engineers). The main technology partners are ARM (UK) and OSIsoft (USA).
