thyssenkrupp teams again with OZ Minerals

Crusher coming to Carrapateena copper-gold project

The equipment supplier said the crusher will be used underground for copper ore crushing, and will ensure the operation's high performance and effective operation. The KB 54-67 selected by the miner has a throughput rate of about 3,000 tonnes per hour.

No financial terms or timeline for delivery were disclosed.

thyssenkrupp and OZ Minerals have been working together since 2008, the officials for the former said, with its first order being for two grinding mills at its Prominent Hill complex.

Carrapateena, located in the Australian state's Gawler Craton north of Port Augusta, will be commissioned late this year. Once online, the company expects it will produce about 4.25Mt/y over about 20 years.
