The Finnish process technology company will be delivering an Outotec HIGmill high-intensity grinding mill, a semi-autogenous (SAG) mill, TankCell flotation cells, an OKTOP conditioner, thickeners and spare parts to the project.

The two-million-tonnes-per-year Okvau project, located in the Mondulkiri province of eastern Cambodia, is expected to be the first large-scale mining operation in the country.

Renaissance Minerals is aiming to start project commissioning in the June quarter of 2021.

Head of Outotec's minerals processing business Paul Sohlberg believes the equipment order will strengthen its position as a supplier in Southeast Asia.

"We are pleased to be part of Cambodia's first significant gold processing project with Emerald's highly credentialed gold project development team," he said.

"Outotec's leading technologies, such as energy-efficient ultrafine grinding, proven flotation technology for low-grade sulphide ore and superior thickening technology, enable our customer to do profitable business sustainably."

Outotec has booked the €13 million (US$14 million) order into its March quarter intake for 2020.
