The company said that Seequent Central, a cloud-based technology which works alongside its other analysis, modelling and collaborative systems, will allow users to gain an increased understanding of a site's subsurface geoscience as well as its engineering design in a centralized platform.

Seequent's software is being used on hundreds of diverse projects across the globe, ranging from infrastructure projects, renewable energy projects, mining and exploration projects to environmental projects, noted CEO Shaun Maloney.

"We're working alongside customers to do everything we can to make it possible to meet the demands and operational challenges they may be facing in the current environment."

The executive went on to say that, because of an upswing in demand and need, it opted to speed up development.

One of the clients is already using Seequent Central is silver and gold miner First Majestic, which operates the San Simas silver mine in Mexico as well as the Santa Elena silver-gold mine and La Encantada silver mine. Currently, the miner is developing its mineral assets using Seequent for its modelling.

"First Majestic use Seequent's Leapfrog Geo to develop a realistic presentation of the geology at each site (complex silver deposits with multiple veins), and Leapfrog Edge to aid resource estimation - and when geologic models are changed resource estimates also change dynamically," the company said.

Seequent Central allows the company to publish models and resource estimates - so they are immediately available to everyone from the mine geologists to management in real time."

First Majestic resource geologist David Rowe added that the company is now able to capture multiple resources across multiple mines, bringing all of its experts together to evaluate projects in one place.

"This enables better access and collaboration for everyone," he added.
