The additions to the Lokotrack line of products have implemented sizer technology from Komatsu. There are five available models, ranging from 500 tonnes per hour to 4,500t/h.

Metso Outotec said its newly introduced modular FIT crushing stations are also available with sizer configurations.

The first Lokotrack sizer plant, it added, is already online and in operation in southeast Asia.

"New concentration technologies and strict environmental norms make it economically viable to process such deposits and stocks that were not possible to handle profitably earlier," mid-size and mobile crushers vice president Julius Mäkelä said.

"However, the characteristics of soft ores like low abrasiveness and high moisture content require a different equipment configuration than when crushing hard ore."

It opted to address that by bringing together its know-how with mobile and semi-mobile crushing with Komatsu's sizing expertise.

Both the mobile and modular solutions were engineered in collaboration with Komatsu.

The Lokotrack mobile sizers were designed for safe operation and easy application and, when in place alongside the Lokolink and conveying systems, can provide a truckless solution from the site to the concentrating plant.
