PRESS RELEASE: The series, including models DX65, DX80 and DX100, has been designed not only for the efficiency factor, but also for cost-effectiveness and to enhance maintenance with maintenance-in-place, while also reducing energy consumption.

“Finding ways of saving water has become paramount in industrial processes,” the company noted of the line, which was unveiled in late September.

“With PCM Delasco DX series all fluids flow: abrasive and high solids content slurries up to 80% dry solids, corrosive high-density media, viscous shear sensitive particles or corrosive gaseous fluids. There is no need to add water to enable pumping, nor is the pump operation and efficiency affected by variations in solids, viscosity or pressure.”

The line features a simple, sturdy design, including a shock-resistant heavy cast X-cover design and all sensors at the rear to protect them, as well as an internal bearing and plug-in drive system that permit the pumps to run with any type of drive and motor.

PCM noted that every product in the line is individually shimmed to be lined up to every pumping condition with perfect hose compression and long service life. For new conditions, the line’s shoe shimming adjustment is easy because of an ATEX-compliant stainless steel hatch. No ancillary protection equipment is required, and the pumps can run even dry.

The PCM Delasco DX series, also available in duplex configuration, can generate flow rates up to 55m3/h; with two pump heads and one single drive, the PCM Delasco DX Duplex series allows to double the flow rate of a single pump up to 100m3/h along with a reduced footprint, less pulsations and less maintenance cost as well as an inherent low pump running speed.

“PCM DX series substantially improves the technology benefits with optimised life time for the hose; the high-quality abrasion resistant elastomer provides thousands of working hours; easy on-site maintenance and short downtime with an ingenious pull-out system that allows fast connection removal and easy hose change in minutes even after hours of operations on sticky products [and] internal bearing technology that eliminates load on gear motor bearings, favours heat dissipation and reduces drive-related maintenance,” the company said of the environmentally friendly line.
