PRESS RELEASE: The JV, which includes Gobi Infrastructure Partners, Clough Projects International and RUC Cementation Mining, has been awarded the design, construction and commissioning of the blind sink and concrete line of Shaft No 3 and No 4 and the construction of the underground material-handling system for Stage 1 of the Oyu Tolgoi project.
Clough CEO and managing director Peter Bennett said: "We are pleased with the award of these two additional scopes.

Situated in the southern Gobi desert of Mongolia, approximately 550km south of the capital, Ulaanbaatar, and 80km north of the Mongolia-China border, Oyu Tolgoi is jointly owned by the government of Mongolia (34%) and Turquoise Hill Resources (66%). Since 2010, Rio Tinto has also been the manager of Oyu Tolgoi.
