Company management confirmed that the final shipment included slurry pumps, and follows up a delivery that carried underground loaders, pneumatic loaders, ceramic filters and hydrocyclones.
Vast said testing of the copper and zinc from the mine has been finalised, with encouraging results. Testing of the lead and molybdenum is ongoing, and the company is expecting to receive its final met report from Grinding Solutions in August.
In the meantime, Baita Plai's crews will start underground production over the course of this week. First concentrate goal for August is still on track, with its sale already arranged with Mercuria.
Baita Plai, of which Vast owns 80%, is located in the Apuseni Mountains. It was initially placed on care and maintenance in 2013 due to lack of investment by its owner.
