Las Vegas-based Asia Broadband has begun production at its Tequila gold mine in Mexico.
The processing mill is producing 50 tons per day at its maximum capacity. Asia Broadband has undertaken a retrofit upgrade to increase mill capacity to 100 tpd.
Later this year, Asia Broadband is planning a large-scale expansion of the mine's production, which will include the installation of larger-scale facilities.
The company also has a geological report in progress.
The company, which produces, supplies, and sells precious metals to Asian markets, entered into a joint venture agreement in October 2021.
Asia Broadband will secure a 75% interest in the Tequila gold project and 100% of current and future gold production from the mine, in an agreement reached with owner Juan Enrique Michel Arambula Y Socios.
The property is 66.7 hectares in La Guadalupe, located 70 kilometres north of Guadalajara in the central Jalisco province.
Asia Broadband has plans to continue exploration undertaken by a Canadian mining company, to develop gold and silver mineralisation veins with high-grade potential. Asia Broadband will then readjust the budget of the joint venture.
Asia Broadband also operates mining projects Los Reyes, Bonanza, and San Palmar.
