Toronto-based Hudbay Minerals will use Strayos for its artificial intelligence needs at its Constancia copper mine in Peru,
Hudbay will use Strayos' mine site analytics products in its operations to improve site safety and efficiency.
Hudbay will implement Strayos' Site Analytics AI Suite. This suite includes Highwall AI; Slope Stability AI; Haul Road AI; Haul Truck Engine Performance AI; Berm AI; Floor Control AI; and Inventory Management AI.
"Partnering with Strayos will allow Constancia to increase operational efficiencies and increase overall safety in the mine operations," Hudbay Technical Services Manager Engels Trejo said.
"That is why we are moving towards Mining 4.0, where we have implemented new technologies in our mining operations to be more efficient," Hudbay Mine Planning Superintendent for Technical Services Pedro Zacarias said.
The technology will increase efficiency by using material granulometry analysis, ore treatment process analysis, copper recovery, site and plant communication, and truck competent monitoring.
The Strayos AI technology will also increase safety through its anti-fatigue and anti-collision systems in haul trucks, as well as pit slope stability monitoring.
"Our software can analyse data from a variety of devices and sensors - including drones - digitise it and generate accurate insights in seconds," Strayos chief executive Ravi Sahu said.
