PRESS RELEASE: The two companies are partnering to offer on- and off-highway trucks to Canadian markets, expanding Acela Truck Company's growing distribution footprint and Roughrider's growing product offerings.

Acela Truck Company provides military-grade trucks to commercial markets, delivering high-mobility 4x4 and 6x6 chassis, class 6-8 trucks in North America.

"It's a natural marriage for Acela and Roughrider to combine forces in Canada," said David Ronsen, president of Acela Truck Company.

"Acela offers the most capable truck chassis for the most extreme job sites in the world, and Roughrider excels in selling, leasing, renting and servicing specialised and complimentary products and services throughout western Canada to a host of clients operating in some of the most demanding worksites."

James Secord, Roughrider's COO, commented: "Roughrider is always looking for new products that can help our customers fill their unique requirements more efficiently and increase productivity. The Acela Monterra fills multiple fleet requirements that enable us to increase our clients' competitive advantage."
