The machine features a 45-tonne payload, a dump volume of 19-24m3, an improved dumping angle of 68° and good ergonomics.

GHH said it is not only one of the largest units of its kind, but it is also the newest model in its product range. At its heart is a 460-kilowatt Mercedes OM473 engine that fulfills Stage V emission standards (GHH also offers Tier 3 and 4 versions), or alternatively a Volvo TAD1651 or 1671 is available.

Sitting upon Kessler axles with oscillating articulation and front-axle suspension, the OEM said the power is transmitted by a converter and gearbox combination from the Dana 8000 series. It has been designed for harsh environments, especially underground hard-rock mining.

GHH noted its compact nature; it measures in at 3,062mm wide by 10,535mm long by 2,719mm high.

"Special emphasis was placed on a safe and simple design in the best sense of the word: low maintenance and repair costs are a core discipline of the manufacturer, with operator safety and comfort in mind through the entire design process," the company noted.

"The ROPS/FOPS-certified cab is ergonomically designed to be spacious, quiet, pressurised and effectively air-conditioned, to ensure maximum operator comfort while minimising fatigue … and the strategically placed trainer seat provides for effective operator training maximising the outputs and minimising time spent on training."

GHH said the new machine's perfect partner is its LF-14 loader with three-pass loading. It is offering a special version of the machine, the MK-A45, exclusively for Russia.
