Combined, the contracts are worth A$180 million (US$123 million).

The contracts will be executed over a three-year period and involve providing mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and access services for maintenance, shutdowns and sustaining capital projects.

One contract is to provide multi-discipline services for Alcoa across its Wagerup and Pinjarra sites in Western Australia.

The other work UGL has won involves maintenance, shutdown and project services across multiple sites and with multiple clients in Queensland's Bowen Basin.

Jason Spears, managing director at UGL, said he was happy to be leveraging the company's 30 years of experience in the mining industry.

"Our strong working partnerships with leading mining organisations support UGL's reputation for solid performance and safe delivery of maintenance and shutdown services," he said.

Michael Wright, CEO of CIMIC Group, added that the contracts showed UGL held a position as a market leader in the Australian mining industry for delivering maintenance and mechanical, electrical and instrumentation access services.
