The newest contract award is for the construction of the mine's airport terminal and infrastructure. Valued at A$20 million (US$14 million), the deal adds to a larger multi-disciplinary non-process infrastructure (NPI) programme of work set for completion in 2021.

Total contract value with this material contract extension is now A$150 million, it confirmed. The terminal's construction delivery will be completed parallel to the prior contract.

It most recently was awarded contract variations for the overall contract in March.

The construction of phase one for Koodaideri first began in 2019. First production should be realised sometime late next year.

Once all work is complete, Koodaideri is projected to have annual capacity of 43 million tonnes.
