Jervois Global is undertaking a "detailed review" of its winter construction schedule.

The mining company is working with EPCM M3 Engineering to determine construction plans moving forward, and how that will impact the proposed date of commissioning. Commissioning is expected for the second half of 2022.

Jervois anticipates that weather conditions will have a significant influence on winter construction plans.

The company has advanced to over 136 feet on the west portal and 100 feet on the east portal, in its first steps to establish underground mining infrastructure.

The company has committed to acquiring approximately three quarters of equipment and material for the project, which will cost US$36 million, out of the capital budget of US$92.6 million.

The company has also ordered all the long lead items for its process plant, which are expected to start arriving at the start of next month. Mining camp units will arrive in late December once necessary permits are received, while kitchen and supporting units have an anticipated arrival of February 2022.

Delaying the commissioning of the camps will ensure workforce safety, Jervois said.

Jervois has advanced construction of the dry stacks tailing storage facility, the mill, SAG and ball mill foundations, and flotation building.

The water treatment plant is expected to be completed in early December and has been water commissioned, while a pump back system moving water from the portal pump station to the treatment plant is expected to be commissioned at the same time.

Jervois has also hired a finance manager, mill manager, and mine manager.
