Without risk, there is no reward. This is especially true in business. In order to meet strategic objectives and deliver a profit, risks need to be taken. But how exactly do you calculate how much risk is worth taking? And what other factors need to be considered?
Join risk experts Sarah Gordon and Ollie de Boer from Satarla, together with John Castner from IsoMetrix as they Join risk experts; how it's used to guide decision making and what best practice looks like.
Tuesday 2 July 10.00 PST / 13.00 EST / 19.00 CAT
During our 30-minute live webinar, we'll ask:
- What is the difference between risk appetite and tolerance?
- How do I set risk appetite and tolerance for my organization?
- Theory versus practice: how do other risk managers use risk appetite to guide decision making?
- Which technology tools can help?
Speakers include:

Having completed her PhD at Imperial College, Sarah then went on to work as a Geologist for Anglo American. This grounding allowed her to explore different risk management techniques and uses, applying them to real situations. Together with two other risk managers, Sarah founded Satarla in 2014 (www.satarla.com). Now with 55 Associates based around the world, Satarla provides risk management consultancy, training and research to organizations from sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, charities, finance, together with petrochemicals, energy, oil & gas, and mining. Sarah is the Chair for Foreign Affairs and External Relations for the Geological Society of London, an Honorary visiting lecturer at Imperial College London and Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg.
