Denmark-based mining equipment company FLSmidth will supply process equipment, including a digital automation package, to construct a new concentrator at a Polyus' gold mine in Russia.
The equipment will include solutions across the entire process flowsheet, including a ball mill, flotation technology, thickening, gravity gold concentrators, carbon-in-leach (CIL) circuit, acid wash and detox, screens, pumps, etc.
Worth approximately DKK350 million ($54.4 million), Polyus booked the order in Q4 2021; FL Smidth will deliver the equipment in 2023.
Mikko Keto, mining president, FLSmidth, said the order is the "latest in a series of successful collaborations" with Polyus. Additionally, he claimed it shows its ability to deliver "key, state-of-the-art technologies across the gold flowsheet".
"This order is a clear indication of the customer's satisfaction with FLSmidth's partnership and equipment performance and our dedication to delivering the highest productivity."
