Metso Outotec launches HRCe grinding mill

The HRCe follows on from the HRC HPGR which Metso launched in 2014.

It claims the HRCe will improve energy efficiency by up to 15%; lower circulating load by up to 24% and increase throughput by 19%.

Metso Outotec said it also eliminates edge effect by evenly distributing the material - which also maximises the amount of crushed material during the process - as a result of the flange design and anti-skew assembly.

The anti-skew assembly is designed to eliminate the downtime caused by skewing events.

The HRCe follows on from the HRC HPGR which Metso launched in 2014.

Metso Outotec said the HRC pioneered the use of flanges and a non-skewing design.

According to the mineral processing specialist, the HRCe comes with reduced installation capital expenditure compared to the HRC and changes in design allow for superior grinding efficiency.

Metso Outotec grinding business line head Christoph Hoetzel said Metso Outotec was the only original equipment manufacturer that had been able to design and develop reliable flanged HPGR technology.

"We will continue utilising our proven technology but have evolved the design to maximise value for our customers and superior grinding efficiency," he said.
