Sight Power and Arvizio partner on AR digital twins

Companies collaborate on AR digital twin technology

The pairing will bring together Arvizio's Immerse 3D AR solution and Sight Power's Digital Mine platform

The pairing will bring together Arvizio's Immerse 3D AR solution and Sight Power's Digital Mine platform

The companies said those three elements will be shared between the Digital Mine platform, produced by Sight Power, and Arvizio's Immerse 3D AR solution.

Immerse 3D allows 3-D models and LiDAR scans, used with Digital Mine, to be visualized in AR. Specifically, the former's Immerse 3D platform extension can align with Digital Mine technology to support staff training and equipment repairs to reduce operational costs and downtime; extend digital twin capabilities for processing plants for real-time monitoring; provide real-time virtual presence; and permit an ongoing evaluation of mine evolution models.

"The hybrid-rendering and advanced model optimisation capabilities of Immerse 3D are ideal for visualising LiDAR scans and geological models from mining operations that may cover many miles/kilometers and include multiple layers," Arvizio explained.

"Further, Immerse 3D enhances the Sight Power Digital Mine platform by extending the capabilities of Digital Mine to include multi-user, multi-location AR visualization and collaboration in fully synchronized sessions utilizing web meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom."

The pair's ultimate goal is to offer users an integrated suite of mining operations software and AR that can be put to work to reduce costs, improve efficiencies, increase productivity and enhance safety. To do that, Digital Mine collects and processes operational information and work processes and merges it with modeling, monitoring and distributed sensor systems.

The ideal user will be geologists, mining engineers, mine surveyors and other specialists desiring a boost in labor productivity as well as fewer technical errors.

"Our work with leading mining companies using Digital Mine, demonstrated that combining operational technology, monitoring systems, devices and spatial datasets into a single workflow system, streamlines mining operations at every phase," said Sight Power CEO Sergey Reznichenko said.
