The companies have agreed to collaborate on the sourcing and application of PGMs and metals used in battery technology, and to work jointly on metals recycling and the development of more sustainable battery supply chains.

Johnson Matthey and Sibanye-Stillwater have also extended their current PGM supply and refining agreements to ensure long term supply for Johnson Matthey's products, according to the press statement.
Johnson Matthey is the world's largest fabricator and recycler of PGMs.
