The release, which will be officially unveiled to the industry in March during the Conexpo-Con/Agg 2020 event along with other new items, can be manufactured in diameters of four inches to 30in and with face widths of 12-78in.
The drum-style Prime pulley will be the fourth model in the company's line of standard, pre-engineered conveyor pulleys; others include CEMA, Mine Duty 2.0 and Super Duty.
Vice president Alan Schmidgall explained that the unit was designed and built with a solid steel end disc, negating the need for welding at the pulley hub. In addition, it shares several characteristics with the Mine Duty 2.0 and Super Duty models, but its design yields a lower weight.
"That means we can offer a more economically friendly option and include many of the features our customers said they require," he added.
Superior said the new pulley was ideal for both aggregate and mine duty conveyors with fabric belts that frequently start and stop under full loads.
The supplier also offers custom-engineered pulleys under its Core Systems design team.
Superior's new release line-up planned for March also includes the Sentry horizontal shaft impact (HSI) crusher, the Fusion modular platform, the belt drive Valor vertical shaft impact (VSI) crusher, a bolted model Liberty jaw crusher, the Alliance low water washer and portable Spirit wash plant.
Additional equipment being unveiled with new features includes the Anthem inclined screen, the gear drive Valor vertical shaft impact (VSI) crusher, the P500 Patriot cone crusher, the Aggredry dewatering washer and the TeleStacker conveyor.
