The new contract for the overall Duketon South operations will replace the existing contracts for Rosemont and Garden Well

PRESS RELEASE: The Duketon South contract comprises the Rosemont, Garden Well, Erlistoun, Baneygo and Toohey's Well deposits, as well as other potential satellite projects in that region at Regis' discretion.

The project will continue to consist of open-pit mining services, including drilling and blasting, and loading and hauling.

The new contract for the overall Duketon South operations will replace the existing contracts for Rosemont and Garden Well. This will take into account the changing needs of the project now being split across multiple pits and sites.

The contract is the result of a collaborative approach with Regis, utilising technology to optimise the mine planning across the operations and ensuring the most efficient use of both machinery and human resources.

The tenure for MACA at Duketon South operations will now be for a five-year term from July 2018, with the option for a further five-year extension.

MACA executive director Geoff Baker said: "MACA is delighted to continue its long-standing relationship with Regis at Duketon. The additional tenure ensures we are able to invest in more efficient equipment in order to continue to deliver quality mining services at the lowest cost to Regis."
